I couldn’t find any credible news outlets or official announcements—neither from UNC’s athletic department nor reputable sports journalists—reporting that Michael Jordan has been named “Director of Player Development” at his alma mater.
The only trace I found was a post in a Facebook group congratulating him , but no mainstream or official source has corroborated it. As of today, July 19, 2025, there is no evidence that MJ has taken any formal non-playing role with UNC basketball again.
