WVU to Highlight Programs at the State Fair of West Virginia
West Virginia University (WVU) is set to showcase a wide array of its academic, research, and community outreach programs at this year’s State Fair of West Virginia, offering fairgoers a chance to connect with the university’s innovative work across the state and beyond. The event will take place in Fairlea, Greenbrier County, and WVU’s presence is expected to be a major attraction once again.
The WVU Building at the fairgrounds will serve as a hub for interactive exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, and engaging presentations from various university colleges and departments. Visitors can explore areas such as healthcare, agriculture, engineering, energy, and education, gaining insight into the impactful work being done by students and faculty.
This annual appearance not only celebrates Mountaineer pride but also aims to deepen connections between the university and West Virginia communities. Families and prospective students will have opportunities to meet WVU representatives, learn about admissions and scholarship options, and see how the university is working to solve real-world problems through research and public service.
Special exhibits will include 4-H and Extension Services, highlighting WVU’s role in youth development and agricultural education throughout the state. In addition, the School of Medicine and the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design will offer health screenings and sustainability-focused activities, giving visitors a taste of WVU’s land-grant mission in action.
Whether you’re an alum, a future student, or just a proud West Virginian, the WVU exhibits at the State Fair promise to be both informative and inspiring. With a mix of tradition, innovation, and community spirit, West Virginia University is once again using this platform to bring its mission directly to the people i
