Women History; Andersen represents BYU gymnastics at nationals

BYU gymnast Brynlee Andersen scored a 9.825 on the balance beam to finish 16th at the 2025 NCAA gymnastics championships Thursday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas.

 

The sophomore from Orem notched her 13th score above 9.825 of the season in the Cougars’ first individual national competitor since 2021.Texas – BYU’s sophomore beam standout Brynlee Andersen competed at the 2025 NCAA Gymnastics Championship Thursday afternoon as the final beam competitor of the day.

 

As BYU’s lone competitor at nationals, Andersen put up a 9.825, earning her a 16th-place finish to end her sophomore season. The Orem, Utah native notched her 13th score above a 9.825 this season.

 

With team scores of 197.550 and 197.300, Oklahoma and Missouri advanced to the NCAA Gymnastics Championship Final on Saturday
