Asked about how he plans to continue building Kentucky’s program, Pope was steadfast in his belief that this year’s team set the foundation for the future.

“What these guys did was set an incredible foundation,” Pope said. “They set a higher standard—on the court and off. I’m grateful for that, and that standard will carry us a long way. We’ll be talking about these guys 10 years from now for what they did to establish that.”
