The NFL beef that started with Kansas City Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman taking shots at the New York Jets has now ended up in the accusations of potential cheating scandal with many Jets players saying Hardman shared their game plans. Now Hardman is clapping back at those accusations drastically.
These accusations are very serious and would literally an end to Hardman’s career if they were true but they do not seem to be grounded in any type of fact, and there has yet to be any hint of an NFL investigation taking place for these matters.
“There were FALSE accusations made about me and MY CHARACTER,” Hardman wrote on X. “To set the record straight, I have never and would never leak gameplans to another team. I have never been a person to give an opponent an upper hand I always want to win no matter the circumstances
It would be truly shocking if Hardman actually gave away teams plans for a game to an opponent and would make much more sense that these Jets players may be bit salty about what Hardman said about them earlier in the week.
Stephen A. Smith Says Hardman Should Sue
Stephen A. Smith, perhaps the most animated media sports analyst, said that Hardman should even pursue a law suit if these accusations are false. This is a very serious accusation and if that is not true this is clear defamation as player would never be able to come back from doing something like that. Stephen A. was quoted saying:
“If you are Mecole Hardman, if the Jets, if there is a hole in their argument. First of all, you’ve got to speak on that immediately,” Smith said, via Jets Country. “That’s grounds for a lawsuit if they are false, because that’s a career-ender, y’all. That’s a career-ender. What locker room can he possibly go into if somebody believes it’s true? If evidence came out that this is remotely true, what locker room could he go in?”
We will have to wait and find out if anything comes from this, but the NFL has yet to make any investigation or voice any words on this beef that has been going on all week.
