In a recent segment that raised eyebrows across the SEC, college football analyst Paul Finebaum did not mince words when assessing Tennessee’s quarterback situation and playoff potential. When asked if the Volunteers were in excellent shape under center heading into the 2025 season, Finebaum replied sharply, “Not fine.”
Finebaum’s criticism was pointed and clear. “There’s talent, but not enough proven production,” he said, referencing the uncertainty around projected starter Nico Iamaleava.
