In a cruel setback for West Ham, ‘Elite’ Johan Bakayoko might be on his way to Manchester United.

It appears that Manchester United will beat West Ham United to the acquisition of Johan Bakayoko in January.

Both West Ham and Manchester United need to boost their respective striking departments in the January transfer window, and Johan Bakayoko would be the ideal candidate for both teams.

The 20-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger, who West Ham apparently made an enquiry for just a few months ago, has been in excellent form this season in Holland.

This season, Hammers manager David Moyes and Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag will need to add more speed to their front lines.

I’d love to see Bakayoko in the London Stadium. He’s a left-footed right winger, although he can also play on the left.

Also, with the Belgian ace out wide, Jarrod Bowen could play as a central striker and Mohammed Kudus might move into the number 10 role.

However, it appears that we may yet lose out on the PSV Eindhoven ace…
