Updated injury status of Jay Haynes other unavailable players for Clemson this spring…

Clemson University’s football team is navigating a series of injury challenges as they commence their spring practice sessions for the 2025 season. Notably, redshirt sophomore running back Jay Haynes is among the key players sidelined due to injury.

Jay Haynes:

Haynes, who suffered a torn ACL during the ACC Championship Game against SMU on December 7, 2024, is expected to miss the entirety of spring practice. The injury occurred on the opening kickoff of the second half when Haynes was hit low, leading to significant knee damage. Following the incident, he underwent surgery and is currently on the road to recovery. Prior to the injury, Haynes had been a valuable asset to the team, rushing for 295 yards and three touchdowns on 43 carries during the season.

Other Notable Injuries:

In addition to Haynes, several other Clemson players are dealing with injuries that will affect their participation in spring practice:

Stephiylan Green (Defensive Tackle): Green is recovering from sports hernia surgery and will be limited during spring activities.

Jeadyn Lukus (Cornerback): Lukus underwent shoulder surgery and will also have a restricted role in spring practice.

Walker Parks (Offensive Lineman): Parks had shoulder surgery and will be limited during the spring sessions.

Olsen Patt-Henry (Tight End): Patt-Henry is sidelined with a shoulder injury, leading to increased opportunities for other tight ends like Josh Sapp, Christian Bentancur, and incoming freshman Logan Brooking during the spring.

Tristan Leigh (Offensive Lineman): Leigh was observed wearing a yellow (limited) jersey during the first day of spring practice, though specific details about his condition have not been disclosed.
