ATHENS, GA — The Southeastern Conference (SEC) has officially named University of Georgia senior swimmer Abby McCulloh the 2025 H. Boyd McWhorter Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year, marking a historic achievement in both athletic excellence and academic distinction.

McCulloh, a standout for the Georgia Bulldogs Swim and Dive team, continues to blaze a trail of excellence, embodying the highest ideals of what it means to be a student-athlete. Known for her powerful performances in the pool and her unwavering dedication in the classroom, she has become a beacon of inspiration for aspiring athletes across the country.

The H. “This is a moment of immense pride for our program,” said [UGA Head Coach/Director of Athletics]. “Abby exemplifies everything we strive for at the University of Georgia — character, commitment, and championship-level performance in every arena.”

As McCulloh takes her final lap as a senior, her legacy will ripple far beyond the lanes of collegiate swimming, reminding the world that true excellence knows no bounds — it thrives in balance.
