Unbelievable: Kentucky Guard Makes Life-Changing Announcement After Freshman Season

In a heartfelt and unexpected turn, Kentucky Wildcats guard Collin Chandler has made a life-changing decision after his freshman basketball season — he got married. Chandler married his fiancée, Hannah, on May 8, 2025, a milestone that marks a significant chapter in his life beyond the basketball court.

Chandler’s journey to this moment has been anything but ordinary. Before joining Kentucky, he spent two years on a Mormon mission, an experience that shaped his maturity and perspective. After completing his mission, Chandler joined the Wildcats for the 2024–25 season. Initially, he saw limited playtime, but as the season progressed, he earned a more significant role on the team.

Over 30 games, the 6-foot-5 guard from Utah averaged 2.7 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. His breakout moments came during the NCAA Tournament, where he stepped up under pressure. In three tournament games, he averaged 6.0 points, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 rebounds while shooting an impressive 62.5% from three-point range. His clutch performances in critical moments highlighted his potential and resilience.

Chandler’s decision to get married so early in his college career surprised some, but those who know him understand his commitment to his faith, family, and personal values. Marriage is a significant responsibility, especially for a young athlete balancing the demands of college basketball. Yet Chandler has shown a level of maturity beyond his years, both in his personal life and on the court.

The Kentucky Men’s Basketball team celebrated Chandler’s marriage on social media, showing their support for the young couple. Fans also reacted positively, congratulating Chandler and expressing excitement about his future. Many believe that his new chapter could bring a new level of focus and determination to his game.
