Tyrese Proctor Duke Career Highlights | Best Plays & Moments!

Tyrese Proctor’s journey at Duke University has been nothing short of electrifying. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Proctor joined the Duke Blue Devils as part of the 2022 recruiting class and quickly established himself as a dynamic playmaker and floor general. Over his collegiate career, Proctor has become one of the most polished and versatile guards in the country, showcasing his elite court vision, smooth shooting stroke, and defensive tenacity.

Freshman Year Breakthrough (2022–23)

Proctor’s freshman season was a baptism by fire. Thrust into a starting role early on due to injuries on the roster, he adapted quickly, finishing the year with multiple double-digit scoring games and steady playmaking. One of his standout moments came against Miami in the ACC Tournament, where he dropped 15 points and dished out 5 assists in a critical win. His composure under pressure and ability to create shots for teammates earned him a spot on the ACC All-Freshman Team.

Sophomore Year Growth (2023–24)

In his second season, Proctor emerged as one of Duke’s leaders—both vocally and on the stat sheet. He improved his shooting mechanics and became a reliable perimeter threat, shooting over 35% from three. A signature moment came in a midseason matchup against rival North Carolina, where he hit a deep three-pointer late in the game to seal a dramatic win in front of a raucous Cameron Indoor crowd. He averaged 10.5 points, 4 assists, and showcased a vastly improved assist-to-turnover ratio, proving he could control the tempo of big games.

In the ACC Championship game vs. Louisville, he erupted for 19 points, hitting a career-best six three-pointers to guide Duke to the title. But it was during the NCAA Tournament where Proctor truly shined. He dropped 25 points on 7-of-8 shooting from three against Baylor, pushing Duke to the Sweet 16. His poise, shot-making, and leadership carried Duke all the way to the Final Four.
