Penn State’s Tyler Warren has made history by becoming the first Nittany Lion to win the prestigious John Mackey Award, recognizing him as the nation’s top tight end for the 2024 college football season. This accolade highlights Warren’s exceptional performance and versatility on the field.
During the 2024 season, Warren set multiple records, including Penn State’s single-season records for receptions (67), receiving yards (808), and touchdowns (22). His all-purpose yardage and scoring contributions were instrumental in the Nittany Lions’ success. Warren’s ability to line up across various positions—tight end, fullback, and even punter—demonstrated his adaptability and football IQ. His performance was a key factor in Penn State’s advancement to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
