The 2024 season for the Michigan Wolverines was marked by injuries to key players, including safety Rod Moore, who was sidelined before the season and did not return for most of it. However, Moore made a memorable return at Ohio Stadium after Michigan’s surprising victory over Ohio State, proudly waving the Wolverines’ iconic ‘Block M’ flag in celebration.
This week, renowned college football reporter Chris Low revealed his “Way-Too-Early” All-America team, which included Moore, as well as a standout player from Michigan’s 2024 win over Ohio State. The list also featured three Ohio State players, heightening the anticipation for this year’s rivalry game in southeast Michigan.
Rod Moore, despite missing the 2024 season, was still named to the first team, alongside Ohio State’s Caleb Downs. Low highlighted Moore’s leadership, noting that despite not playing last season due to a noncontact ACL tear during spring practice, he remained a captain, demonstrating his influence and importance to the team. Moore, a two-time All-Big Ten honoree, has started 27 games since his freshman year and is known for his experience and adaptability in the secondary.
Additionally, Dominic Zvada, Michigan’s kicker, was also named to the team. Zvada’s decision to return for his senior year gave the Wolverines’ special teams a major boost. Low praised Zvada’s ability to deliver clutch long-range field goals, particularly recalling his game-winning kick against Ohio State, followed by a crucial defensive stop that sealed the victory in Columbus.
