Fresno State catcher/first baseman Kennedy Bunker is headed to Ole Miss through the NCAA transfer portal. Bunker is the fifth addition through the portal for head coach Jamie Trachsel’s Rebels, who are coming off the program’s first ever appearance in the Women’s College World Series. Ole Miss finished with its highest final national ranking ever, coming in at No. 7 in some polls.
Bunker hit a team-best .364 during the 2025 season, collecting 59 hits and 38 runs-batted-in. She led the team in doubles with 11, recorded four home runs and drew 24 walks. In her three years at Fresno State she started 163 games, which establishes that she brings an incredible amount of experience to the Ole Miss program
In addition to Bunker, Ole Miss has signed through the portal shortstop/middle infielder Cassie Reasner (Kentucky), two-way pitcher and utility player Hope Jenkins (UConn), outfielder Sydney Shiller (Texas Tech), slugging infielder Laylonna Applin (Angelo State) and outfielder Cassidy Patterson (Nova Southeastern
The Rebels have a few departures through the portal including freshman All-American pitcher Miali Guachino, as well as reserves Jamie Mackay (catcher), Abby Herndon (pitcher, to Auburn), Addison Duke (outfielder, to Arizona) and Tate Davis (infielder, to South Carolina)
