Three Red Raider football players have had their jersey numbers retired,Reasons and Names Revelated…

Three Red Raider football players have had their jersey numbers retired. E.J. Holub’s No. 55 was retired on Dec. 19, 1960, and Donny Anderson’s No. 44 was retired Nov. 11, 1995. Dave Parks’s No. 81 jersey was retired Nov. 17, 2001. Both Holub and Anderson are members of the College Football Hall of Fame.[11]

 

The Texas Tech Red Raiders have indeed retired jersey numbers for three legendary players:

 

1. E.J. Holub (#55): Retired on December 19, 1960. Holub is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

2. *Donny Anderson (#44)*: Retired on November 11, 1995. Anderson is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

3. *Dave Parks (#81)*: Retired on November 17, 2001.

 

These players left lasting impacts on Texas Tech football, and retiring their jersey numbers honors their achievements and contributions to the program [11].
