Crimson Tide’s CJ Dippre Shines at Senior Bowl, Aiming to Elevate NFL Draft Prospects
As Senior Bowl week unfolds in Mobile, Alabama, Crimson Tide tight end CJ Dippre is seizing the opportunity to bolster his draft stock. During Media Day on Wednesday, Dippre discussed with reporters the positive attributes he plans to bring to an NFL team.
“A few words that best describe me are versatile and tough,” Dippre stated. “I demonstrate my toughness and grit in the run game and what I’m willing to do in that area.” He emphasized his ability to capitalize on opportunities. Moreover, he highlighted the advantage of competing in the SEC as preparation for the NFL.
“In the SEC, we face top-tier competition. Many defensive ends we’ll go against are future early-round NFL Draft picks. This experience has definitely prepared me for the next level,” Dippre added.
While Dippre is primarily recognized for his blocking prowess, he has also made significant contributions as a pass-catcher. This past fall, he recorded 21 receptions for 256 yards, setting a career high with three touchdown catches during the 2022 season.
