In a world where fame and success often take center stage, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake has made a gesture that redefines what true victory looks like. Sitake has donated $5.6 million to transform a luxurious mansion into a shelter for homeless and at-risk youth, set to open in 2026 under the name “The Sitake House of Hope.”
The facility will provide safe housing, mentorship programs, and educational support to help young people rebuild their lives. More than just a donation, Sitake’s initiative is being hailed across the nation as a model of compassion and leadership.
“This is bigger than football,” Sitake said at the announcement. “It’s about giving these kids a chance — a chance to feel loved, supported, and capable of achieving something great.”
The BYU community responded with overwhelming gratitude, calling Sitake’s move “a touchdown for humanity.” Players and fans alike praised their coach for leading with both heart and purpose.
As BYU prepares for another season on the field, Sitake’s off-field decision reminds everyone that true greatness isn’t measured in wins or titles — but in the lives you t
