The Georgia Bulldogs are facing major changes ahead of the upcoming season, as two suspended players have officially entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Wide Receiver Nitro Tuggle, a former four-star recruit, has decided to leave the program. Tuggle played in six games during his freshman year and made a notable appearance in Georgia’s win over Tennessee with two catches for 25 yards. His transfer comes after a suspension related to an arrest for speeding and reckless driving. Despite the off-field issue, Tuggle’s talent as a route-runner and playmaker makes him an attractive pickup for other programs.
Running Back Branson Robinson, a standout during his freshman season in 2022, has also opted to transfer. Robinson was once named SEC Freshman of the Week and was considered a rising star in the Bulldogs’ backfield. However, his time at Georgia was hindered by limited playing opportunities and off-field disciplinary issues that led to his suspension.
The departure of both players is a blow to Georgia’s depth and highlights the growing challenge of maintaining roster consistency in the age of the transfer portal. Head coach Kirby Smart and his staff now face the task of filling these key gaps as they prepare for another title-contending campaign.
