Texas WR Isaiah Bond Files Defamation Lawsuit Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Isaiah Bond, wide receiver for the Texas Longhorns and 2025 NFL Draft prospect, has filed a defamation lawsuit against a woman who accused him of sexual assault. The legal filing was made in the U.S. District Court for Northern Texas and claims the woman made false statements to police in Frisco, Texas.

Bond turned himself in to authorities on April 10 after an arrest warrant was issued. He was released on bond and has publicly denied the allegations, stating the encounter was consensual.

In his lawsuit, Bond is seeking economic damages and a civil trial, hoping to clear his name ahead of the NFL Draft, which is scheduled for April 24–26 in Green Bay.

During the 2024 season, Bond recorded 34 receptions for 540 yards and six touchdowns for Texas. Over his college career, including time at Alabama, he totaled 99 catches for 1,428 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Before the allegations, Bond was projected as a second- or third-round pick in the draft. The legal case could now influence his draft position.

Bond’s legal team has reportedly shared the lawsuit documents with all 32 NFL teams, highlighting his cooperation with the investigation and intent to clear his name.

The case is still under investigation, and more developments are expected as the draft approaches.
