Texas A&M’s Reveille Crowned World’s Best Mascot by ESPN After Dazzling Global Parade
In a stunning celebration of tradition and pageantry, Texas A&M’s beloved mascot, Reveille X, has been crowned the “World’s Best Mascot” by ESPN following a jaw-dropping global parade that captivated audiences worldwide. The announcement, which electrified Aggie fans and college sports enthusiasts alike, cements Reveille’s status as a cultural icon and the enduring “First Lady of Aggieland.”
The accolade came after Reveille X’s show-stopping appearance in a record-breaking international mascot parade, where she led a procession of mascots from universities and sports teams around the globe. Draped in her signature maroon-and-white blanket and escorted by the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, Reveille X dazzled millions with her poise, charm, and unmistakable presence.
Reveille’s legacy at Texas A&M dates back to 1931, when the first Reveille was adopted by students. Since then, the Rough Collie has become an integral part of Aggie life, holding the rank of Cadet General—the highest in the Corps of Cadets—and accompanying her handler, a sophomore cadet from Company E-2, to classes, events, and football games. Reveille X, who assumed her role in 2021, continues this cherished tradition, embodying the spirit and values of Texas A&M.
The global recognition by ESPN not only honors Reveille’s storied history but also highlights the deep-rooted traditions that make Texas A&M unique. As the university community celebrates this prestigious title, Reveille X stands as a symbol of pride, unity, and the enduring legacy of the Aggie spirit
