Texas A&M Recruiting Class of 2025 Off to Strong Start Under Coach Mike Elko
Texas A&M’s 2025 football recruiting class is already turning heads, signaling a resurgence under second-year head coach Mike Elko. With multiple four-star commitments and growing momentum on the trail, the Aggies are establishing themselves as serious contenders in the race for elite high school talent.
Headlining the class is defensive end Isaiah Turner, a top-50 national recruit from Houston, who chose A&M over offers from Alabama, Georgia, and Texas. Turner’s commitment gives the Aggies a cornerstone pass rusher who fits perfectly into Elko’s aggressive defensive scheme. Joining him is four-star quarterback Tyler Green out of Florida, whose strong arm and leadership skills have drawn early comparisons to former A&M standout Kellen Mond.
Elko and his staff have emphasized building relationships with recruits and their families, something that’s been reflected in the early success. The Aggies are making strong inroads in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida—three hotbeds for SEC talent. The revamped recruiting department has also leaned into technology and social media engagement, modernizing A&M’s appeal to younger athletes.
“We’re building something special here,” Elko said during a recent interview. “It starts with the right people—guys who want to compete, work hard, and represent Texas A&M with pride.”
The 2025 class is also balanced, featuring top prospects on both sides of the ball. Several offensive linemen and skill position players are expected to commit in the coming months, which could push the class into the top 10 nationally.
After a rocky few seasons, the Aggies’ strong start on the recruiting trail has given fans reason to believe in the program’s future. If Elko continues this pace, Texas A&M could soon return to the forefront of the SEC—and the national spotlight—with a talented, deep, and motivated roster.
