Texas 4-star O-tackle discusses first Ohio State visit and possible official visit back

Zaden Krempin, Texas 4-Star Offensive Tackle, Discusses First Ohio State Visit and Possible Official Visit Return

Zaden Krempin, a 4-star offensive tackle from Texas, is one of the top recruits in the 2025 class, and his recruitment is quickly becoming one of the most closely followed storylines in college football. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman recently made his first visit to Ohio State, and the trip has left a lasting impact on him as he weighs his college options. With top-tier programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Texas in pursuit, Krempin’s visit to Ohio State was an important moment in his recruiting journey.

The visit to Ohio State was Krempin’s first official trip to the Buckeyes’ campus, and it was an experience that exceeded his expectations. Ohio State has built a reputation for developing elite offensive linemen who go on to have successful careers in the NFL, and Krempin had the opportunity to see firsthand how the program operates and what it offers.

“The visit was amazing. Ohio State has everything you could want as a player,” Krempin said. “The facilities were top-notch, and I really enjoyed seeing the campus and the way the program is run. Coach [Ryan] Day and Coach [Justin] Frye, their offensive line coach, really made me feel welcome, and I can see how they get their players ready for the next level.”

The opportunity to meet with Ohio State’s coaching staff was a key part of Krempin’s visit. He spent time with head coach Ryan Day, offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson, and offensive line coach Justin Frye, who has been instrumental in developing some of the top offensive linemen in the country. Frye’s track record of preparing players for the NFL caught Krempin’s attention, and he was eager to learn more about the development process at Ohio State.

“Coach Frye is one of the best in the business when it comes to developing offensive linemen,” Krempin said. “He talked about how he helps his players improve every day and how Ohio State is all about getting players ready for the next step. That’s a big factor for me because I want to go somewhere that will develop me into the best player I can be.”

Although Krempin was impressed by his visit, he is not ready to make a decision just yet. He has other schools on his radar and plans to take additional visits to further evaluate his options. However, Ohio State has certainly made an impression on the talented offensive tackle, and he expressed interest in returning to Columbus for an official visit in the near future.

“I definitely want to come back for an official visit and see even more of what Ohio State has to offer,” Krempin explained. “I think it’s a place that could be a great fit for me, and I want to get to know the coaching staff even better and see what the atmosphere is like during a game day.”

Krempin’s recruitment will likely come down to a few key factors, including the strength of the coaching staff, the program’s history of player development, and the overall fit within the team’s system. As a highly coveted prospect, Krempin has plenty of time to weigh his options, but Ohio State’s strong presence in his recruitment is undeniable.

As the recruiting process continues, Krempin is expected to visit several other schools, including programs in the SEC and Big 12. However, Ohio State has made a strong case for being one of the top contenders for his commitment. The Buckeyes’ combination of tradition, coaching, and player development could ultimately play a significant role in Krempin’s decision, especially if he returns for an official visit and gets a closer look at everything the program has to offer. With his recruitment still in full swing, all eyes will be on Krempin as he narrows down his options and prepares to make one of the most important decisions of his football career.
