Tennessee Lands Second Five-Star Recruit for 2025 Class: Who is Isaiah Campbell?
The Tennessee Volunteers now have two five-star recruits in their 2025 class, marking a significant milestone for their recruiting efforts.
David Sanders, a highly touted offensive lineman, has long been the centerpiece of Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class. Having committed to the Vols in August, he remained the sole five-star player in the class for several months.
However, that changed on Thursday when defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, who signed with Tennessee in December, earned a five-star rating from On3.
Campbell, originally from Durham, North Carolina, attended Southern High School, the same institution that produced former Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright. His recruitment took a winding path.
He had initially committed to Clemson for nearly eight months but decided to decommit in late September. Once Campbell opened his recruitment, Tennessee swiftly made their move, intensifying their efforts to bring him to Knoxville. After a couple of visits to the Vols’ campus last fall, Campbell ultimately chose Tennessee.
On3 now ranks Campbell as the No. 30 overall player in the nation, underscoring his exceptional talent. His elevation to five-star status adds another high-profile recruit to Tennessee’s growing class, signaling the program’s growing national prominence under head coach Josh Heupel.
