Barring an unforeseen trade, Cooper Flagg will be a Dallas Maverick.Of course, as always there is the possibility of a trade that would change everything. That’s pretty unlikely for Flagg but will remain a possibility for both Knueppel and Maluach.
The Mavericks won Monday’s NBA Draft Lottery despite having just a 1.8 percent chance. After trading Luka Doncic this past spring, the fans were in near mutiny, but the chance to add Flagg to a solid roster may move them past that anger.
Dallas beat out San Antonio for the top pick. Here is the full order:

There are a lot of questions still, but the order is at least set. We’ll know more about how it will work out for Flagg’s Duke teammates Kon Knueppel and Khaman Malauch as things develop.
