In a defeat to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars missed a chance to enter the playoffs. They paved the way for the Pittsburgh Steelers to make the playoffs in the process.
Steelers social media celebrated the occasion by trolling the now-defunct Jaguars. They did so in response to what has become a personal offense in Pittsburgh: disdain for the Terrible Towel.

Jaguars security In a Week 8 victory over the Steelers, Andrew Wingard intercepted quarterback Mitch Trubisky. He celebrated by racing down the field at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, waving a Terrible Towel.
To mark Jacksonville’s loss to Tennessee, the Steelers uploaded a video of this celebration.
The assumption here is that the Terrible Towel carries a curse. There will be repercussions if you insult or disrespect it. In this case, the ramifications benefitted the Steelers and effectively ended the Titans’ season.
