Justice Fitzpatrick Commits to Georgia, Strengthening Bulldogs’ 2026 Defensive Class
The Georgia Bulldogs have secured a significant addition to their 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick. Hailing from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Fitzpatrick is recognized as the No. 3 cornerback and the No. 47 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings .
Fitzpatrick, the younger brother of NFL All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, chose Georgia over other prominent programs, including Florida, Texas, Miami, and Ohio State. Standing at 6 feet 0.5 inches and weighing 185 pounds, he brings a combination of size, athleticism, and football intelligence to the Bulldogs’ secondary.
During his junior season at St. Thomas Aquinas, Fitzpatrick recorded 34 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions, showcasing his ability to impact the game both in coverage and run support . His commitment adds to Georgia’s impressive defensive backfield haul, joining other top recruits such as safeties Zechariah Fort and Jordan Smith .
Head Coach Kirby Smart’s history with the Fitzpatrick family likely played a role in Justice’s decision. Smart previously served as the defensive coordinator at Alabama during Minkah Fitzpatrick’s tenure with the Crimson Tide. This existing relationship, combined with Georgia’s recent success and emphasis on defensive excellence, made Athens an appealing destination for the younger Fitzpatrick.
With this commitment, Georgia continues to solidify its reputation for attracting elite defensive talent, positioning the Bulldogs for sustained success in the highly competitive Southeastern Conference.
