SHOCK Transfer Twist: Texas Longhorns Emerge as Dark Horse Favorite for St. John’s Star Guard!

In a surprising shake-up in the NCAA transfer portal, the Texas Longhorns have surfaced as a team to watch for St. John’s transfer guard Glenn Taylor Jr. After a brief commitment to Grand Canyon University, Taylor has reopened his recruitment — and the Longhorns are reportedly circling.

The 6’6″ wing averaged 4.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists last season, while shooting a strong 42.4% from beyond the arc. That perimeter threat, combined with his versatility, has caught the attention of several big-name programs, including Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and Auburn.

While Texas hasn’t made anything official, the buzz suggests they’re looking to add veteran depth to support rising star Tre Johnson, who’s been lighting up the SEC with 19.6 points per game and several Freshman of the Week honors.

As transfer portal drama heats up, don’t sleep on the Longhorns—they may be gearing up for a major backcourt upgrade. Stay tuned.
