DALLAS COWBOYS

SAD NEWS :AM Leaving Cowboys player Trevon Diggs accepted a deal of $17.9m to depart today after….

With at least 13 sacks in each of his three NFL seasons and a spot in the top three of the Defensive Player of the Year voting each time, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is among the best defensive players in the game today.

Despite all of his achievements, it seems that some in the league are still hesitant to offer Parsons a high-paying, long-term contract.

Jori Epstein, senior NFL reporter at Yahoo and former Dallas Morning News, stated on the Yahoo Fantasy Football Show that Parsons received some severe comments from an unidentified defensive coach over his performance in key situations.

Micah is a Hall of Fame player while the Cowboys are winning, but he’s merely mediocre when the team needs him the most. Chris Jones makes plays when it counts most, but he also blows key plays. Although Micah doesn’t always perform at his best, Epstein reports that the coach stated as much.

The remarks quickly gained traction on the Internet, and Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs was made aware of them before long. With a succinct, two-word response, Diggs vehemently defended his standout teammate: “Pathetic coach.”

Until he puts on a show in the postseason, Parsons’ lack of production in his career—he has only had one sack in four career playoff games—will undoubtedly be a talking point. But it would be absurd to hold him responsible for the Cowboys’ inability to win important games.
