Ryan Day Announces Adjustment to Ohio State’s Spring Practice After National Championship Victory

The 2024-25 college football season extended longer than usual, with Ohio State finishing the year as national champions after defeating Notre Dame. Now, following the demanding season, head coach Ryan Day has decided to delay Ohio State’s spring practices, which will begin later in March. This change comes after the season wrapped up just a couple of weeks ago, and it marks a shift from the usual spring practice schedule, typically held during Ohio State’s spring break.

Day indicated that veteran players could face lighter workloads this spring, given the long and challenging season. The adjustment will also give younger players more opportunities to prove themselves on the field, while veterans have already earned their spots on the roster. While no official date has been set for the start of spring practices, fans should expect a delayed start compared to other teams in college football.
