Ray Winstone has slammed West Ham boss David Moyes for ‘bottling’ the Hammers’ cup opportunity against Liverpool.

West Ham’s players were sick and tired ahead of their journey to face Liverpool in a Carabao Cup quarter-final.
But it was the Hammers supporters who were left ill and fatigued after another road thrashing, this time by Liverpool, who defeated them 5-1.
As excellent as Liverpool were, West Ham were ripped to ribbons in scenes described as ‘criminal and disgraceful’ by Jamie Carragher.

Many fans believe David Moyes waved the white flag at Anfield by resting many important players and selecting a different lineup.
Ray Winstone, the actor, is one of them.
The high-profile West Ham supporter filmed a video while watching the incident, which has gone viral on social media.
And in it, an enraged Winstone slams Moyes for squandering West Ham’s cup chance against Liverpool.
In the X-rated rant – which will strike a chord with the majority of his fellow West Ham fans, particularly the 6,000 who made the long trip to Merseyside days before Christmas with no trains home – Winstone says Moyes got it completely wrong.
“Just watching this, West Ham away to Liverpool in the old League Cup, Carabao Cup, whatever they f—-g call it now,” Winstone was quoted as saying.
“We’ve just started to play well (in the last two games against Freiburg and Wolves), and then Mr Moyes – who I have a lot of respect for and admire – bottles it and sends out a B team against Liverpool, who are top of the league.”
