COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Princeton Tigers opened their ITA Kickoff Weekend in dominant fashion, sweeping the Denver Pioneers 4-0 to secure a spot in tomorrow’s championship match against top-seeded Ohio State.
“We came out sharp and set the tone with a clean doubles point,†said head coach Billy Pate. “Our strong start carried over to singles, especially in the lower half of the lineup, where we performed exceptionally well. Tomorrow’s match against Ohio State will be a tough test, as they’re the strongest indoor team in the country.â€

Princeton took an early lead by claiming the doubles point with commanding performances from Paul Inchauspe and Filippos Astreinidis at No. 1, as well as Landon Ardila and Meecah Bigun at No. 3.
In singles, Aleksandar Mitric shone in his season debut with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 6. Ellis Short followed suit with a solid 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4, while Fnu Nidunjianzan sealed the match for Princeton with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at No. 2. This marked Nidunjianzan’s third match-clinching win of the season.
