Port Moody native Jenna Buglioni has achieved a significant milestone in her fifth season with the Ohio State Buckeyes women hockey program, joining an exclusive group of players. On January 14, Buglioni scored a power play goal in a 4-0 win over Bemidji State, marking her 150th career point with the Buckeyes. The goal also marked her 15th career game-winner, just one shy of tying the program’s record.
Buglioni’s impressive accomplishment adds to an already remarkable season for the senior, who is also pursuing a master’s degree in sports management. As team captain, she has contributed 15 goals and 16 assists in 28 games. She also played a key role in a memorable outdoor game on January 4 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, scoring the shootout winner against top-ranked Wisconsin.
With Ohio State’s current second-place ranking and the team’s NCAA championship title from the previous year, Buglioni is on track for even greater success. She is currently ranked 15th for the 2025 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) draft, a significant improvement from her previous ranking of 31st. Despite the rising interest in her, Buglioni chose to forgo the 2024 draft to complete her fifth year at Ohio State.
Her scouting report highlights her as a highly intelligent two-way player with good speed, though her 5’3 stature may present challenges in the more physically demanding professional league.
Buglioni’s teammate, Coquitlam’s Jordan Baxter, is also making strides, with a goal and five assists in her sophomore year with the Buckeyes.
