Recent Georgia visit changed everything for 4-star OL Breck Kolojay
One of the top recruits who took an official visit to Georgia this past weekend was four-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay. Kolojay is one of the top offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class as the 247Sports composite rankings name him the No. 279 overall player in the country.
Heading into his official visit this past weekend, Georgia was the clear leader for Kolojay as there was one prediction in UGA’s favor on 247Sports. But Kolojay has visited a few other programs throughout June including Tennessee, Miami (FL) and Ohio State, so his recruitment was far from over.
There have been a lot of positive reports that have surfaced after Kolojay’s visit to Georgia, but the lack of a commitment date made Georgia’s lead not feel so safe. However, a recent report from On3’s Chad Simmons shows that UGA changed Kolojay’s timeline for how he wants to handle his recruitment.
Breck Kolojay is a top OL target for multiple programs and the four-star once thought he would take his recruitment into the season. That is no longer the case. He is now closing in on a commitment.

According to the above report from Simmons, Kolojay has shared that he now plans to announce his commitment before his senior season in high school begins. He originally was going to let his recruitment play out into the season, but that no longer appears to be the case.
Simmons did not specifically state this change was because of Kolojay’s visit to Georgia, but it’s easy to see that is what caused it because his visit to Athens finished just two days ago.
Another thing in Georgia’s favor in this recruitment is that current UGA commit Zech Fort is his high school teammate. So having Fort in his ear will certainly help Georgia’s case with Kolojay.
It remains to be seen when Kolojay will announce his commitment, but there are a lot of reasons for Georgia fans to be hopeful when that time does come.
