Ole Miss basketball’s pursuit of top talent in the 2025 NCAA transfer portal encountered a setback as former Memphis guard PJ Haggerty committed to Kansas State. Haggerty, a high-scoring guard, had drawn interest from several programs, including Ole Miss, North Carolina State, and Kansas State. Ultimately, he chose to join the Wildcats for the upcoming season.
Despite this, Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard has been active in the transfer market, securing commitments from several notable players. These include AJ Storr from Kansas, Koren Johnson from Louisville, and Corey Chest from LSU. These additions aim to bolster the Rebels’ roster for the 2025โ26 season.
While missing out on Haggerty is a disappointment, the Rebels continue to build a competitive team through strategic acquisitions in the transfer portal.
