Ohio State football will wrap up its spring practice on April 12 with a special event at Ohio Stadium, though it remains uncertain whether it will take the form of a traditional spring game.
Despite starting spring practice two weeks later than usual, the Buckeyes will still conclude their offseason training on the second Saturday in April. This year, however, the final practice is being labeled a “spring showcase,” suggesting potential changes to the usual format. Further details, including ticket information, are yet to be announced.
Ahead of the showcase, fans can enjoy the Buckeye Gameday Fan Fest at Remembrance Park (near the intersection of Woody Hayes and Archie Griffin Drives) from 9 a.m. to noon. The festival will feature live entertainment, food, drinks, giveaways, and interactive activities.
Ohio State’s spring practice schedule kicks off on March 17, following the university’s spring break. The Buckeyes will train three times in the first week and four times per week thereafter, culminating in the 15th and final practice with the showcase event.
This adjusted schedule is due to Ohio State’s extended 2024 season, which ended on January 20 with the Buckeyes winning the national championship in their 16th game of the year.
