During Ohio State national championship celebration at the Horseshoe, athletic director Ross Bjork hinted at the possibility of a contract extension for head coach Ryan Day.
He is the Buckeye coach for years to come, Bjork declared.
Following the celebration, Ohio State president Ted Carter confirmed that Day and the university have been in discussions regarding a contract extension. Day’s current deal, signed in 2022, runs through the 2028 season and includes a $9.96 million annual salary, which was boosted by a raise in 2023.
