NCAA softball tournament predictions: Which eight teams will make to WCWS in OKC?
The map for the Road to Oklahoma City has been revealed.
Sunday brought the unveiling of the 64-team field for the NCAA softball tournament, which will culminate with the Women’s College World Series. But to get to Oklahoma City, teams must win a double-elimination regional and a best-of-three super regional.
The road isn’t easy.Now, for some teams, it’s much more straight and narrow. Overall No. 1 seed Texas A&M, for instance, can clearly see its path to OKC.
But with the parity in college softball this season, there are way more teams that will have much more harrowing journeys. Like driving through the desert with the gas tank near E. Or maneuvering through the mountains on a snowy nightThe challenge will be significant.
Like those teams, though, we aren’t backing down from a challenge.
