Nathan Barrett, the younger brother of former Duke star RJ Barrett, recently passed away.

Nathan’s former basketball coach, Chris Stewart, shared a heartfelt tribute to the young man on Instagram on Thursday.

“If you have had the pleasure of knowing this family you know how much they do for the basketball community so keep them in your thoughts and prayers,” Stewart wrote. “No parent should ever have to bury a child.”According to Stewart’s post, Nathan was studying to become a pilot.

No details have been released about his death.

RJ, now a member of the Toronto Raptors in the NBA, was ruled out of Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons for personal reasons. The team has already announced he will not play in Friday’s game against the Orlando Magic either.
