In a disturbing incident that has captured widespread attention, Mobile police have arrested a man accused of breaking into the home of quarterback Jalen Milroe and attacking him with a hammer. The arrest took place late Tuesday night, following a dramatic sequence of events that unfolded in Milroe’s residence.

According to authorities, the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Jacob Carter, unlawfully entered Milroe’s home in Mobile, Alabama, through a back door around 9 p.m. Carter allegedly confronted Milroe inside the house and assaulted him with a hammer, causing significant but non-life-threatening injuries. Milroe, who is currently a prominent quarterback for the University of Alabama, managed to escape and contact emergency services, leading to Carter’s swift apprehension.

Police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident was reported and were able to arrest Carter without further incident. He is currently being held at the Mobile County Jail on charges of assault, burglary, and possession of a deadly weapon. Bail has not yet been set, and Carter is expected to face a preliminary hearing in the coming days.

Milroe was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. Fortunately, his condition is stable, and he is expected to recover fully. In a brief statement, Milroe expressed relief that the situation was resolved without more severe consequences. “I am thankful for the swift response from the police and for everyone’s support during this time,” he said.

The motive behind Carter’s attack remains unclear, and the police investigation is ongoing. The Mobile Police Department is working to determine whether this incident was a targeted attack or a random act of violence.
