Morris announced his decision on May 31, 2025, during his official visit to Starkville. Originally planning to take additional visits to schools like Memphis, Houston, Georgia Tech, and Tulane, Morris felt an immediate connection with Mississippi State’s coaching staff and players, leading him to commit earlier than expected. He cited the strong relationships and the development opportunities under defensive line coach David Turner as key factors in his decision.
During his junior season, Morris recorded 62 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks, nine quarterback hurries, and an interception returned for a touchdown, showcasing his versatility and playmaking abilities on the defensive line.
With Morris’s commitment, Mississippi State now has nine pledges in its 2026 class, which currently ranks No. 39 nationally according to On3’s team recruiting rankings. His addition strengthens the Bulldogs’ defensive front and reflects head coach Jeff Lebby’s focus on building a competitive roster for the future.
