GEORGIA BULLDOGS

Mike Bobo’s Relentless Pursuit: Georgia’s OC Pulls Out All Stops to Reclaim 5-Star QB Jared Curtis from Oregon’s Grasp

In the high-stakes world of college football recruiting, few battles are as intense as the one unfolding over five-star quarterback Jared Curtis. Once committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, Curtis decommitted in October 2024, reopening his recruitment and igniting a fierce competition between Georgia and the Oregon Ducks.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 225 pounds, Curtis is the top-ranked quarterback in the 2026 class and the No. 4 overall prospect nationally. His impressive junior season at Nashville Christian School, where he led his team to a 13-1 record and a state championship, earned him the Gatorade Tennessee Football Player of the Year award.

Despite his decommitment, Georgia remains a strong contender. Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo has been proactive, visiting Curtis in January 2025 to reaffirm the Bulldogs’ interest. Curtis acknowledged the continued relationship, stating, “Obviously they’re not out of the race yet… I’d love to get back up there and talk to them.”

Oregon, under head coach Dan Lanning, has emerged as a formidable challenger. Curtis has expressed significant interest in the Ducks, citing strong relationships with the coaching staff and the program’s recent quarterback successes. He has scheduled official visits to both Oregon (June 6-8) and Georgia (June 13-15), indicating a decision may follow shortly after.

As the recruitment battle intensifies, both programs are pulling out all the stops to secure Curtis’s commitment. With official visits on the horizon, the coming weeks will be crucial in determining where this elite quarterback will land.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Jared Curtis sweepstakes heat up.
