Michael La Sasso of Ole Miss clinched the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Individual Championship, finishing with an impressive 11-under-par total of 277 over four rounds at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
La Sasso, a junior, led the field after 54 holes and maintained his composure in the final round to secure the title. His consistent performance throughout the tournament was instrumental in Ole Miss advancing to the match play portion of the championship.
This victory marks La Sasso as the second individual national champion in Ole Miss men’s golf history, following Braden Thornberry’s win in 2017.
La Sasso’s stellar season also earned him a spot as one of five finalists for the 2025 NCAA Division I Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award.
His achievements have solidified his status as one of the top collegiate golfers in the nation.
