Micah Hudson’s commitment brings pure joy to Texas Tech fans online

Opinions are like belly buttons, they say. Everyone has one, and no one cares about yours. (Yes, I know that there is a more colorful version of that old saying, but we’ll go with the PG version for now.) When it comes to Micah Hudson, it is hard to find a Texas Tech fan who doesn’t have something to say.

Some seem cynical about the return of the former 5-star signee who played only one season at Tech before leaving via the transfer portal in December. What’s more, he did himself no favors at the time by deciding to make Texas A&M his new home.

However, there is no question that Hudson’s return has sparked tremendous buzz in Raiderland. Of course, the fact that he got one small taste of life in College Station and then decided to jump ship and return to the South Plains as soon as he could only makes him an even bigger hero to many in scarlet and black.

So while his flip-flopping over the past several months may have rubbed some the wrong way, the end result of this drama is one that every Red Raider should enjoy. It appears that the vast majority of Texas Tech fans are doing just that and welcoming Hudson back into the family with open arms like a prodigal son. Here’s a look at some of the top social media posts from jubilant Red Raiders who are pumped to see Hudson return.

Even though Hudson has decided to come back to Lubbock before even playing a single snap for the Aggies, his back-and-forth saga has jaded some fans who have an old-school mentality.

More News:  The Carolina Panthers have named former BYU star Ty Detmer as their new Managing Director, marking a bold leadership shift.

There is a portion of college football fans who hate the new era of the transfer portal. It isn’t hard to blame them. They bemoan the lack of loyalty to their university from today’s athletes. Those fans still want to see college sports as they were 20 years ago or more, when we all were still pretending that each university’s athletic program wasn’t just a money-making industry.

Thus, those fans have adopted the attitude of, “I’ll care when Hudson starts making plays on Saturdays”. People who feel that way simply don’t want to get bogged down in the comings and goings of today’s athletes, and that is their right as fans
