Servais brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to the Mets. During his tenure with the Mariners, which lasted from 2016 to 2023, he led the team to multiple winning seasons, including their memorable playoff run in 2022, which ended the franchise’s 20-year postseason drought. Mets’ general manager Billy Eppler stated, “Scott’s experience, knowledge, and passion for the game make him the ideal fit for our organization as we strive to build a consistent contender.”

Servais expressed his excitement about the new opportunity, stating, “I am thrilled to join the Mets organization and look forward to leading this talented group of players. The vision and commitment of the front office to building a championship team align with my approach to the game, and I can’t wait to get started.”
