Four-star tight end Mark Bowman from Mater Dei High School in California has decided to reclassify from the 2027 class to the 2026 class. Alongside this reclassification, Bowman has narrowed down his list of potential colleges to twelve, with Alabama making the cut.
Bowman will be a top priority for many collegiate programs, including Alabama. The Crimson Tide coaching staff has already successfully recruited two athletes from Mater Dei High School for their 2025 class: cornerback Chuck McDonald and Abdul Sanders.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 215 pounds, Bowman is a versatile pass catcher with the potential to excel both as an in-line tight end and a wide receiver. His physical build and skillset are reminiscent of Brock Bowers, the Las Vegas Raiders tight end and former Georgia Bulldog.
Bowman had an unofficial visit to Alabama during the 2024 season, and it is likely that the coaching staff will encourage him to take an official visit to Tuscaloosa. With his reclassification, it will be intriguing to see how he is ranked and how Alabama will pursue this highly coveted recruit.
