Louisville women’s basketball assistant Stephanie Norman leaving after 18 years with Cards

“Eighteen years ago, I walked into this program with a heart full of passion, a vision for what we could build together, and a deep love for the game,” Norman posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Today, as I step away from my role as Associate Head Coach, I do so with a heart even fuller — of gratitude, memories, and an unbreakable bond with Coach Walz and this incredible fan base.”Stephanie Norman, the longest-tenured member of Jeff Walz’s Louisville women’s basketball coaching staff, recently stepped down from her position as the Cardinals’ associate head coach. On Thursday, Arizona State officially named her the women’s basketball program’s associate head coach and director of basketball strategy. Norman graduated from ASU in 1989.Norman was an assistant coach at Vanderbilt when Walz hired her to join his inaugural coaching staff at Louisville in 2007. The debut season ended with the Cardinals posting a 26-10 record. Prior to the 2012 season, Norman was elevated to associate head coach.
