The NBA’s 2024 trade deadline is tomorrow, and while it may be slow, there is no lack of drama. On the eve of the trade deadline, Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell underwent a mysterious treatment for an undisclosed injury. his treatment is a bit fishy, especially when you consider the plater and the timing of it. As we all know by now, Russell is at the forefront of possibly being traded as we approach Thursday’s NBA trade deadline. Although the rumors of the Lakers possibly shipping him have died down, the front office continues to make calls for possible trades. Whether that includes Russell in a trade or not, we’ll have to wait and see.
A month ago, it was almost sure he would be traded. Now, as we sit less than 24 hours from the deadline, it’s at best a 50/50 on whether he’ll be traded. This treatment is a mystery, but at the end of the day, it could be nothing. If he remains a Laker past noon PT on Thursday, we hope he will be available against the Denver Nuggets. The mystery and rumors are swirling. We’ll find out soon enough if he continues to don the Purple and Gold after 12 p.m.
