The NFL considers potential punishments for a Las Vegas Raiders player attacking a cameraman in 2022.

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams lost control of his emotions during the 2022 season after a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, shoving a photographer who got in his way as he went toward the locker room. More than a year later, the NFL has reportedly decided on potential discipline.

The incident happened on Oct. 10, 2022, during a regular-season game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. It was a classic Raiders-Chiefs rivalry game, with the two teams going back and forth late into the fourth quarter.

While Adams scored to make it a one-point game, Kansas City ultimately won 30-29.

Davante Adams stats (2023): 103 receptions, 1,144 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns

A visibly frustrated Adams made his way back to the Raiders’ locker room. While still on the field surface near the tunnel to the locker room, photographer Ryan Zebley crossed Adams’ path. When he did, the Raiders’ wide receiver pushed Zebley out of the way with ESPN’s Monday Night Football camera crew capturing the moment.

Adams immediately issued an apology after the game and later followed up with another public apology. However, the Kansas City Police Department charged him with misdemeanor assault a day later. Zebley reportedly sought hospital care afterward, claiming “injuries…thought to be non-life threatening.”

Charges were later dropped against Adams and the NFL didn’t announce any discipline before or during the 2023 season. However, the Raiders have recently been informed that the league’s review of the incident was completed and a decision has been made.
