Lady Vols guard Destinee Wells enters transfer portal after Kim Caldwell’s first season

Lady Vols basketball point guard Destinee Wells has entered the transfer portal, a source told Knox News.
The source requested anonymity because there hasn’t been a public announcement.
The redshirt senior only appeared in 19 games over the last two seasons at Tennessee due to injuries. Wells suffered a season-ending lower leg injury days before the NCAA tournament started after only playing in nine games this season.
The 5-foot-6 point guard from Lakeland, Tennessee, averaged 1.3. points while shooting 44% from the field and 50% from 3-point range in nine games this season.She’s the third player to enter the transfer portal following Kim Caldwell’s first season leading the Lady Vols. Junior guard Avery Strickland entered the transfer portal on April 3 as a grad transfer after two seasons at Tennessee, and she committed to Belmont on April 13
