Kim Mulkey has officially signed a historic 10-year, $32 million contract extension with LSU, making her the highest-paid coach in women’s college basketball history. This move not only solidifies her long-term commitment to the Tigers but also marks a major investment in the future of women’s sports.

Since arriving at LSU in 2021, Mulkey has transformed the program into a national powerhouse, leading the team to its first NCAA Championship in 2023. Her new contract averages $3.2 million annually and reflects LSU’s confidence in her leadership and vision for continued success.

This extension, pending final approval from the LSU Board of Supervisors, sets a new benchmark for women’s college coaching salaries and reinforces the growing value and visibility of women’s athletics nationwide.

Mulkey, who previously won three national titles with Baylor, now aims to build a dynasty in Baton Rouge — and LSU is all in.
